What is Ho'oponopono?

Une cascade au milieu d'une forêt vierge, un oiseau dans le ciel et un arc-en-ciel.

Preamble: a certain amount of information contained in this site is likely to shock people strongly attached to religious or academic beliefs.

It is far better to visit this site with an open mind and heart.

A Hawaiian method of very ancient origin:

Ho'oponopono was originally practiced by Hawaiian shamans to resolve differences that could arise between two or more people within a village or between two different villages to avoid a fight.

Today,

Ho'oponopono became individualized thanks to the work of Morrnah Simeona and then Hew Len.

Ho'oponopono offers us to reconnect with ourselves by erasing our memories in order to be perfectly centered, to be perfectly well and relaxed, that is to say to reach a state of being called "zero limit".

Here is the essential summed up in a short sentence.

From there, a number of questions arise about the meaning of the expressions used.

What is a memory?

A memory, in the sense of Ho'oponopono, is an erroneous program that runs in our subconscious without our noticing it and that will generate problematic situations and unpleasant reactions for us.

And yes, all our daily problems (and even the others) are created by our subconscious. By ourselves what!

And there, very logically Ho'oponopono tells us: "To remove your current problems, to not encounter any more, to find peace, it's very simple, you just have to remove these memories".

Even better, the void left by suppressed memories is immediately filled with Love.

Easier said than done you say! Well no, it's very simple, it's even childish. Maybe a little long but nothing insurmountable. A year of steady work may be enough to remove enough memories to cause a switch.

That is to say that when your subconscious will contain a greater quantity of Love than of memories, it will finally let go, it will release all the remaining memories to replace them with Love. You find your balance, your calm, your serenity and you can not go back.

You have reached the "zero limit" state.

How do you clear a memory?

This is where the four world-famous phrases come in:

I'm sorry. Please forgive me. THANKS. I like you.

It would be enough to repeat these phrases like a mantra to erase the memories and reach the state of "zero limit". Yes and no.

Let me explain.

A mantra is a sentence which, when pronounced and repeated hundreds of times, emits positive vibrations which come to improve the state of the person. There is a very wide variety of mantras adapted to an equally wide variety of more or less pathological states. It works and the four phrases of Ho'oponopono actually create some really good vibes. So yes, the mantra cleans the "ordinary" memories, of the little annoyances of everyday life.

Only here, there is a BUT (and it is significant).

Given the gigantic amount of memories stored in our subconscious during our multiple incarnations and the size of some of them (ancestral, family, societal ...), a single life will not be enough to erase everything using a mantra. It's a bit like wanting to flatten a mountain of rubble with a small spoon. So no, the mantra is not enough to reach the "zero limit" state.

So we have to use an excavator to clear away this rubble and this excavator is the full consciousness of each of the four sentences. This mindfulness must extend into the body every time we say them. Of course I will develop this physical aspect in depth but a little later.

For now it is important to fully understand the meaning of each of the sentences and for this we must delve a little intothe Hawaiian principles of Ho'oponopono.
