The Hawaiian Principles of Ho'oponopono

The 4 levels of consciousness

According to the Hawaiians, the physical body of the human being is only a very small part of the human being. This is the visible part of the iceberg, tangible, palpable. Most of the human being is spiritual and invisible.

It consists of four parts:

- the subconscious, the inner child called the UNIHIPILI which means child in Hawaiian.

- the conscious, the mother, the UHANE in Hawaiian

- the superconscious, the father, the spirit, the guide, the AUMAKUA in Hawaiian.

- The I, the divine creator, the I in English (from I am). The choice of the I clearly shows the notion of straightness and alignment (which we no longer see in French with the Je).

The articulation of the 4 levels of consciousness.

These four levels of consciousness are articulated between them in a very precise way that it is important to know and remember.

The diagram below shows how it works.

Ancre 1
Croquis de notre famille intérieure : le père (l'Esprit), la mère (le conscient) et l'enfant (le subconscient). Aucune prière ne peut aboutir sans la validation de l'enfant.

A human being is therefore composed of a divine part (it is she who will erase the memories) in connection with the spirit, the father, the supra conscious which has no direct link with the mother, the conscious.

First important information: our conscious does not communicate directly with our supra-conscious.

On the other hand, the conscious, the mental, the mother, communicates permanently with the subconscious, the inner child. Let's take a closer look at this communication.

Second important information: our subconscious contains all memories, the erroneous programs, which we have accumulated since our creation, over our successive incarnations.

So, when we encounter a difficulty in our daily life, when we let ourselves be carried away by emotions, when we react inappropriately, it is because our subconscious has set in motion an erroneous program which is accepted by the conscious. The bond between the conscious and the subconscious, between the mother and the child, is so strong that very often, we cannot even make the difference between them.

The goal of Ho'oponopono is to erase these erroneous programs in order to find our true Self.

How ?

When the conscious is embarrassed, by an emotion, a problem etc ..., he becomes aware of it, he asks the subconscious to transmit this memory to the superconscious with this message "please father, transmit this memory to the divine in us so that it is transmuted into perfect light".

The deep meaning of the Ho'oponopono prayer is therefore:

"My Unihipili, I'm sorry to have burdened you with this memory. Please forgive me. Please pass it on to our Aumakua to hand it over to the divine and transmute it into perfect light. Thank you. I love you."

The "I love you" is for me the validation, the final "buffer" which allows the erasure of the memory.

If I resume,it gives us: "I'm sorry, please forgive me, thank you I love you".
That's it, now you know the deep meaning of the famous 4

phrases of Ho'oponopono!

My advice for getting started: Use the complete prayer written above while being aware of the emotion that is in you at this moment and that you want to appease.

Repeat several times and eventually continue with the "mantra" as needed until you feel better.

Little by little, when you are accustomed to prayer you will be able to use only the "mantra", while remaining vigilant to your state of being, this is really THE important point.
